Due to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, Gate 1 Travel has made the decision to cancel tours in countries most directly affected, which include Israel, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. We have cancelled all tours scheduled to these destinations for the next two weeks and will continue to roll cancellations 14 days forward until conditions change and we are confident that travel can safely resume.
All passengers in Israel and Jordan have safely been evacuated. We continue to monitor those in the United Arab Emirates and will rebook flights once the airport reopens. Currently, it is safe to visit Egypt, so we have given our passengers the option to return home early or continue their trip. Future trips to Egypt have been cancelled as extra precaution.
All passengers with impacted trips in the next 14 days have been emailed and advised their trip is cancelled and a member of our Crisis Team will also be reaching out via phone call.
All passengers with impacted trips in the next 15-90 days have been emailed and advised we are monitoring their trip and will continue to roll cancellations 14 days forward until conditions change and we can safely travel.
All passengers with impacted trips in the next 90+ days are only under deposit and can therefore move their deposit to a different trip. Airline penalties may apply.
All other nearby locations, such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, and Turkey are operating as scheduled. We will continue to monitor these destinations and should any changes be needed, we will contact the passengers directly. At this time, no changes have been made and normal terms and conditions apply.
