I've been on maybe a dozen Gate1 tours and all of the tour managers have been wonderful. However, I would say Michelle was the best I've experienced. She was exceptionally knowledgeable about the places we visited, whether it was a historic site or a place to find a restaurant for lunch or dinner. Really excellent!

We had an excellent time! We will definitely use you guys again on our next trip. And Kaleo /Charles Was a wonderful host for the trip. I give him an A+.

I am writing to elaborate on the excellence of our tour guide, Nick. Nick was superb in all aspects of managing our group of 41 travelers, most of whom are seniors. He was warm, patient, well-organized, and considerate. Every aspect of the trip was carefully planned including relevant videos for the longer bus rides - e.g. the Wolves of Yellowstone, the Yellowstone File of 1988; clips from movies filmed in places we visited, and personal videos of hikes in the National Parks. He reminded us to take hydration breaks and made sure to mingle with everyone on the trip. His research on our destinations and careful planning was evident throughout the trip. We will definitely look for additional trips we can take with him!

Eric was an amazing tour director. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Great sense of humor and he really made the trip a wonderful experience. He managed, by having such a positive influence, to take a bunch of very different types of people and make us a friendly, considerate group who genuinely cared for the welfare of each other. And his printing out and sharing the specific itinerary for the next day, along with his phone number, immensely helped to insure that we knew what to expect. He's a gem. Our driver, Nathan, was also fabulous! He is a very careful driver and was willing to work with Eric to go to side trips that Eric recommended. They worked together very well.

My trip to the National Parks was amazing! The places we went to are beautiful, but our tour guide made the trip! Kerry was so knowledgeable and personable, that he really made the trip for all of us. We had a step on guide one of the days in Yellowstone... he didn't know half of the information that Kerry does about Yellowstone National Park. Kerry arranged several special opportunities and photo ops for us. It was clear that he worked overtime to make sure that we all had the best experience possible. The route of the trip was well planned and beautiful, and we also had a great bus driver named Kirt, who not only was an excellent driver, but also interacted with the guide and the group. The hotels were excellent, included meals were good, timing was good. It was an excellent trip enhanced by the quality of our tour director!!!

The trip was fantastic as usual. We loved all the parks and our guide Shybree is a delight. Lisa is a great driver and we felt very safe in her hands. Good choice in all the hotels. We couldn't have been happier with our trip. Thank you!!

Our trip was wonderful. A highlight was the Grand Ole Opry where one of the singers was Carrie Underwood. We learned much about our nation's music and musicians. Independent Tour guides plus the Gate 1 tour manager, Haydee and Jimmie, our driver, were exceptional. Always accommodating and concerned for the travelers. Lots of comradery from fellow travelers. We would recommend this trip for future travelers.

Bobby was an outstanding tour guide in every way....excellent communicator, demonstrated concern for our safety, ensured that guests were treated properly and had a full schedule without overwhelming them. Funny too which was a value added bonus!!! Great job! Excellent all around.

It was an amazing trip, the views were spectacular especially Arches National Park, Million Dollar Highway and exploring downtown Santa Fe. We were treated to a private tour of Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Eric , our tour manager, was exceptional with his narrative of the parks and history. I enjoy the history as much as the views. Bravo to Skip, our bus driver, for navigating the narrow passages and long drives. Gate 1 Travel is the best!

Nick, our tour guide, was truly outstanding. He was personable, engaging, and brought a great energy to the entire experience. His knowledge was impressive, and he treated everyone in the group with genuine respect. Nick had a natural ability to make us laugh while also making each person feel valued and included. Overall, he was a wonderful guide and an exceptional person. I would absolutely feel comfortable and confident joining another trip with Nick in the future.

It was excellent . The driver David was wonderful and skillful, not only providing a smooth ride, but also sharing some of his travel tales with us. The tour guide Kathryn was fantastic: knowledgeable, energetic, for sure going "above and beyond" the routine expectations. The trip was well organized and executed. Great experience!

Our guide, Kathryn went above and beyond with her positivity, patience with people problems, and persistence with setting surprises for each day to make magical moments and memories for us. Always a teacher, we had info on each state that was unique and informative. We worked as a team with our cohorts and exchanged phone numbers afterwards. She supplied unique tastings and treats to keep us further engaged. I highly recommend her tours. Additionally, our driver, Mr. Dave as Kathryn's cohort added additional jokes, movie trivia, and singing to entertain us on our long drives.

We just returned from our absolutely fantastic Alaska trip! We travelled on this exact same Gate1 Alaska tour 7 years ago, loving it so much that we booked it again and hoped to recreate the great experience we had then. Our trip this year was every bit as wonderful as the first one! Our Tour Manager, Shybree, was the perfect manager for this tour! She was energetic and personable, friendly and fun, and communicated effectively so that all of us knew where to be when and there were never any problems with timing. She made herself available to be sure each passenger had any suggestions, support or information they needed to make their trip enjoyable. She and our driver Jeremy worked well together, even adding a few photo stops along our drives and extra pick up and drop offs when our hotel was too far for us to walk to individually planned activities or meals. We would love to have Shybree as Tour Manager of another of our Gate1 tours!

This was our second trip with Gate1, and we were lucky enough to have Garrett as our Tour Manager for the second time! We really loved Garrett and enjoyed his knowledge and vast experience with the places we visited on both of our tours. I'm sure all of the Tour Managers are excellent, but Garrett is exceptional in relating his personal experiences and showing the group places and areas that are not well known, due to his own love of the outdoors. He is truly an exceptional Tour Manager and we hope to meet him for future travel with Gate 1!

I would like to say what an asset Haydee, tour director, is to your company. She is truly an unusual person with deep concern to provide excellent experience for her guests. She seems to have unlimited energy and bountiful knowledge (that she can share in interesting manner). She actually implemented a game to help pass the long drive part of trip! She needs an aciculate from the company.

This 13 Day Tour of the National Parks was Top Notch. Michelle our Tour Director gave us an outstanding experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating historical facts with local insights that brought each location to life. Her enthusiasm, professionalism, and sense of humor kept our group engaged throughout the tour. She was also very attentive to everyone's needs, answered questions thoughtfully, and made sure the pace was comfortable for everyone. Michelle's expertise and warm personality shown through as one of the highlights of our trip. Sam, our tour driver was friendly, interactive and helpful with everyone on the tour. He personally made me feel extremely safe on some very windy and treacherous roads with his excellent driving abilities. Both Michelle and Sam and the overall trip -- Highly recommended!"

The trip was wonderful!!! Thank you for recommending having a balcony and telling me about the experience you had on your Alaskan cruise. It really helped a lot. I'd also like to mention our tour guide, Ann. She was excellent! We aren't sure when or where our next adventure. will be but it will definitely be a Gate 1 trip.

My "12 Day Pacific Northwest with Columbia River Gorge & Seattle" was yet another amazing Gate1 trip! The hotels were strategically located near our main attractions. They provided excellent breakfast buffets and were within walking distance of other restaurants. The itinerary provided a good amount of time at featured locations, although I do wish we had more time at Crater Lake and in the Redwood forests. Dani, our Tour Manager was fantastic. Her knowledge of the places we visited was nearly encyclopedic. Ever jovial, she kept the tour light and breezy and made sure we all had a good time. That is no small feat especially since travelers joined the group at different times during the tour. She was simply an absolute joy to be around! Well done Gate1! Well done!

Our trip to the National Parks was absolutely fantastic. Doreen was superb! My husband and I were amazed at how knowledgeable she is about our country's history. We have learned so much and have come to appreciate our beautiful country even more. Steve our driver is such a good driver and people pleaser. He was an added bonus to our trip. Gate 1 is blessed to have Doreen and Steve.

Doreen was an exceptional tour manager in achieving group harmony, having a fun personality, while being professional and punctual. We saw things along the way that weren't mentioned in the itinerary all while maintaining our schedule for the day. We had a lot of first time Gate 1 travelers on the tour, but we melded together quickly as a 'family'. Steve, our driver went above and beyond. His friendliness, sense of humor and his professionalism was a joy each day. It was a great tour and we miss everyone already. We would highly recommend this tour.

I just wanted to let someone at Gate 1 know that our tour manager, Shybree, is an absolute gem! She is a breath of fresh air. Her knowledge of the area is outstanding. She is very organized, intelligent, kind, caring, funny, and personable and just made our trip so very enjoyable! Our bus driver Ronnie was professional, friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make us all comfortable and keep us safe. The big, beautiful, red motorcoach was always clean. We truly appreciate the importance of his job. Kudos on hiring these awesome individuals who help make our travels educational, enjoyable, memorable and safe! We were so pleased with our Gate 1 experience!

It was amazing!! Michelle made it so much fun with treats, special water and soo much good information about each place we visited. Jazz, too, was great. Funny, engaged and a very safe driver. From the organization of daily activities to her constant presence and positive attitude and knowledge of every place we went made this trip so enjoyable and memorable. It is clear she takes great pride in her work, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. Our 8 Day Musical Journey from March 30 to April 6, 2026, exceeded our expectations and Haydee was a big reason why. Please extend our heartfelt thanks to her for a job exceptionally well done!

Trip was great - made even more so by the congeniality of the group and Eli - the best guide -I have ever had on my many trips all of the world - so glad I went.

We joined the Southern Musical Tour (Nashville, Memphis, Vicksburg and New Orleans) and had a wonderful time. Our tour manager Paula and driver Jimmie were top-notch. The trip went smoothly (wonderful weather on top of that). The Drury Place Hotel's kickback hours were a great alternative to dinner. But the best breakfast during the trip was for the Memphis Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. All our local guides were knowledgeable, but Mr. Milton from New Orleans left a wonderful impression because he shared a lot of stories when he grew up in that community.

Just want to give a big THANK YOU to Michelle, our Tour Director. She was funny, engaging, knowledgeable and organized. A great first Gate 1 Tour for us. Rod, our driver, was also great. Always on time and loved his storytelling. He and Michelle make a great team.

We had a FUN tour with Sabrina and Grant, an excellent guide and driver. The natural beauty of the Southwest National Parks is breathtaking!!! There was no place for lunch rating in Monument Valley with the Navajo, which was the BEST lunch we had, and wanted you to know this was one of the best days of our tour!!! The side trip to see the petrographs on Moab was fabulous! too!! It was the perfect trip for a family to share over Spring Break, and each one of us has memories shared forever

I cannot say enough about my recent trip to Alaska. Our tour manager Ann was professional yet very personable. I felt very comfortable that she had our wellbeing safely in her hands. We had a hiccup on the bus, and she handled it and us with ease or so it appeared. Our motor-coach operator Bo was the absolute best on the Alaskan roads. Very safe and was so good to us. I traveled solo yet never felt alone. We had a wonderful group and an unforgettable trip. We packed a lot into a few days. I am utterly fulfilled and satisfied with my experience. Thank you!

My wife and I were thrilled with trip and Gate1. Our trip manager Wally is a rock star. He was very organized for all our flight and baggage changes and very accommodating to allow us to add some tours we hadn't previously signed up for. Our trip exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend Gate1 to others. We are looking forward to booking with Gate1 again for a future trip.

We just wanted to reiterate how great our TM Kaleo was. He took such great care of us, plus was very organized, personable and just a lovely person. He went above and beyond what was necessary by providing us various treats and performing for us. We really appreciated him and enjoyed getting to know him.

Please note than Dani, our tour guide, was absolutely wonderful!! She was extremely knowledgeable in her presentations as well as when answering various questions during the trip. Her personality was such that she made everyone comfortable and very happy!! Our driver was also exceptional - Rod. As a team, they made last minute changes seem effortless and carried them out flawlessly!!! And with everything they did, it was in thinking of the travelers. Thank you for a very special trip and experience!!

Amazing. I could not say anything went wrong. Our tour guide Wally was funny, knowledgeable and totally accommodating. All hotels first class and comfortable. But there was one Resort that I found to be totally amazing. The breathtaking view, the staff from the front desk, the person who greeted us upon arrival, and entire staff was the Kona Outrigger Resort. The rooms were so spacious and comfortable. They even had a market that was convenient and open until 10PM every night. The food at the bar and grill great. We ate at The Piko restaurant and the tomahawk Pork Chop, truffle fries was to die for, the Pork chop perfectly cooked and the breakfast buffet was filled with so much delicious selections. They had an adult pool that was so clean and relaxing. The tours were perfectly scheduled and in the true form of Gate 1 travel you get to see so many different and local sights that other tour companies do not get to show you. I did France River Cruise with Gate 1 and I am planning Italy trip with Gate 1. If I had to rate my experience with Gate 1 it exceeded my expectations.

Had a Great Time! The Rain was an inconvenience but no one's fault! Loved the Warner Bros Tour! Inspection of Floats was also wonderful. It was not raining this day!

The Mardi Gras tour was everything we expected and more. Our tour guide Haydee had lots of energy and had our itinerary mapped out for us. The seats for the parades were walking distance from our hotel. Streets were closed with barricades so walking was safe and easy. The food was fantastic. Haydee and Ann, both guides went above and beyond on this trip.

Our first Gate 1 Trip and hopefully not the last! Our trip to Zion, Bryce, Arches and the Grand Canyon was just beautiful. Our fearless leader, Dani and our driver extraordinaire, Rod, was exceptional. They took such great care of all of us. Gate 1 should be proud and grateful for employees of this caliber. Dani and Rod worked well as a team. They were extremely friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and quite tastefully entertaining. December was a perfect time to visit these parks. Although chilly, the parks with snow were gorgeous and magical. Less crowded, we were able to enjoy the genuine serenity of these true marvels on a whole different level. Thank you ALL at Gate 1 and all of our fellow travelers for such a wonderful experience.

The tour director, Kathryn, is the ideal in this type of travel. She has it all - charm, personality, good humor and the ability to make each person feel special. At all times she had every detail under control, which gave me and my travel partner the confidence to simply relax and enjoy the journey. There were simply no glitches, nothing overlooked, and the desire to please was always obvious. I celebrated my birthday on this tour and not only did Kathy acknowledge this, but she also encouraged others to offer congratulatory comments as well. She encouraged friendship with the other travelers because she is a natural leader bringing people together is just one of her gifts! Steve, the driver, was such a competent and careful driver that no matter how skinny the pass in the road, how tight the parking spot, he maneuvered like a champ. Steve is a warm and friendly man, acknowledging everyone and at the same time making each person feel welcome. I'd love to travel again with Kathy and Steve. No one would've guessed that they were traveling together for the first time. This was my second Gate 1 travel experience. Max and I took a river cruise on the Danube about a year ago. This was his third time with Gate 1, and we're looking forward to another trip!

It's was a fantastic trip! Our guide Kathryn was fantastic. She was so well organized, punctual, and knowledgeable. Our bus driver Brandon was an excellent driver and navigated the tightest roads with grace and ease.

Our trip was fantastic! Our stay in Detroit and Chicago, that included brief visits to the Tiger stadium and Wrigley Field while they were scheduled to play in the post season was exciting and our two-night stay on Mackinac Island at the Grand Hotel was magical! Our guide Steve was very informative and friendly; a truly wonderful trip where we met new friends, saw new places, checked off a bucket list item, learned some history and had happy memories to share!

We had a wonderful trip! Our tour manager Vicky was great, very knowledgeable with a pleasant, energetic personality. The National Parks we visited offered such vast beauty. The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta was a breathtaking experience.

Our trip was very good; we could never have seen all the things we did if we had arranged everything ourselves. Our tour director was great and Jamie, our bus driver, was awesome. She was very professional and drove so good. The balloon festival was arranged so very well. The weather really cooperated, and we had a great (but tiring time)!!

Very good tour guide (Ja), and wonderful traveling companions. Loved all the sites and extras (evening cruise on Colorado River, and train free from Silverton to Durango, and visit to Taos Pueblo).

The trip was fantastic. Our guide and driver were the best I've ever experienced. The amount of knowledge of music was college level...people could probably get college credit for going on the trip! It was fun, informative and all encompassing. There was not a problem that wasn't anticipated and preempted. It was a great trip, my first with Gate1, I see more in my future. You are very lucky to have these two very dedicated employees, Jimmy and Tim.

The trip was great. Jason was an amazing tour guide. I can't begin to praise him enough. He was so knowledgeable, efficient, kind and went way out of his way to ensure we received the best experience while juggling the government shutdown of National Parks. His expertise was evident in a million different small ways that had a huge impact on the overall experience.

We had never been on a guided tour trip before but enjoyed this so much! I wanted to compliment our tour manager (Jason) on the excellent job he did. He provided so much information/education regarding the areas/experiences. I feel that he worked extremely hard to make the most out of every destination/experience. He was pleasant and tolerated all of us so well! We would definitely use Gate 1 again. Jason is definitely an asset to your company and deserves recognition.
