This was my first group tour. It was fun. I enjoyed all the different tours. The tour director, Ty, was extremely knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and just plain, who is great guy! The entire process, from start to finish, was easy and very well organized. I will definitely be looking for more opportunities to travel with Gate1.

It was a wonderful trip! Ty, our tour director, was so helpful and well informed. He always made sure the group was together and that we all got to hear/see what he was explaining. Transfers with luggage, getting on bus, checking into hotels, ran seamlessly, thanks to Ty. This is my 8th European trip with Gate 1 and hope to experience many more! In addition, the hotel accommodations were better than any other trip I've been on with Gate 1. Please try to keep this up!

The trip was wonderful! I really liked that I only had to unpack once. The tour was just the right mix of included and optional tours, so I felt like I had ample opportunity to venture out on my own. The hotel was fantastic. Perfect location next to the train station and a grocery store right behind it. The staff was friendly; the amenities were abundant (a candy bar!) and the accommodations top notch. Kurt, the tour guide, was knowledgeable and knew when to give information and when to be still to enjoy the journey. This was my first Gate 1 tour, but hopefully not my last!

Arjan provided an EXCELLENT tour experience! Enjoyed all of the commentary on the included and optional tours. Safety was always emphasized and much appreciated. The recommendations for tours for independent time were a plus. We enjoyed the The Paris Montparnasse Tower experience! He also addressed concerns when they were identified while touring. Dian provided SMOOTH coach service and kept us on schedule. The restroom on the coach was stocked and clean which is always a plus. I watched him always be willing to help those off of the coach when needed. This was my third Gate 1 tour. I have been on the 15 day Portugal/Spain the 10 day Italy with Pompei. I'm a loyal Gate 1 customer!! Keep up the great work!!

A very good trip. Hotel was well located near many attractions with great breakfasts and bountiful farewell buffet. Tour manager Damir was fun, friendly and efficient. Even our bus driver Philip was fun and friendly.

This was my first Stay & Explore Tour. The Netherlands is definitely a good country for this The Hotel was very good and convenient to the Utrecht Train Station, Old Town and the Mall. Numerous restaurants are within walking distance. Our TM was excellent! A very personable and friendly person. Always took time to talk to you and answer all your questions about the country and how to navigate public transportation. On the board in the Hotel Lobby, he had lots of useful information about places to see and things to do. We only did one optional tour on the last day, which was excellent.

The trip was wonderful, and our tour guide, Romain, was exceptional. I cannot say enough nice things about him. He made the whole trip fun and made sure to include everyone. It truly felt like a community because of him. As a solo traveler, not knowing anyone on this trip, he made the trip feel safe and that someone was always there for me.

It was wonderful, we love it, Jean our tour guide was very kind and excellent on what he does. Overall, once again, it was truly a memorable trip, our second with Gate 1. Looking forward for our 3rd one "Greece" this October.

This trip was fabulous. Our Tour Manager, Sebastian, was great. He was knowledgeable and fun. He kept the group laughing and engaged the whole trip. Hotels: were great and had staff that were very helpful (especially in Amsterdam and Paris). Hotel locations were good. Included food was good, no complaints. The optional dinner at Montmartre was fantastic, a great location with entertainment. Overall, this was another wonderful Gate 1 trip where we met new friends we will keep in touch with. The group of travelers in our group all got along well and had fun. The sites were more than expected and we saw all the highlights plus more.

This was my first trip with GateOne and I will tell you that our tour guide, Adrienne, and driver, Darren, were absolutely exceptional. They sealed the deal for us to commit to doing another GateOne tour in the future. Adrienne was superb, knowledgeable, personable, gained our trust and really went above and beyond to make our trip spectacular. Darren was also top notch! We loved our trip. It was everything we wanted. The Stay and explore was what we wanted. Our tour manager Krasi was very helpful and informative. We would go with him again. Also, Isabella, the bus driver was great.

We did 6 Gate1 trips over the last 5 yrs or so and this trip perhaps is the best ever. Sites were amazing and the tour manager Martin went above and beyond to make the whole trip smooth enjoyable and highly memorable.

Kurt was the best tour guide we have had on any tour. He was VERY patient with everyone in our group; especially with routine questions that he gets asked all the time. His knowledge of each country was impressive; he was really great at giving information and entertaining the group at the same time. His energy and enthusiasm for his job made our trip a lot of fun!

Our tour manager, Farid, was OUTSTANDING! His deep knowledge of each site of our tour was excellent. He was organized in every way throughout the tour as he shared information to prepare us for what we would encounter for the day. Farid's genuine personality and light sense of humor made this experience a memorable one for everyone. Future travelers would be fortunate to have Farid as their tour manager.

This was an excellent trip: excellent itinerary, good hotels and good tour guides. Cities visited were carefully selected. The visit to the Delta works and the Battle of the Bulge museums were the highlights. I will highly recommend this to all my contacts. The weather was chilly and cloudy at the beginning of the trip but cleared up during the latter half. The smaller size of the group made for greater bonding.

What a great, excellent captain of the ship. Most extraordinary skills and focus. Our safety and his excellent cruising style and his hard work into the late night. Really a great job. Perfect. He had a great nautical crew, working, docking and loading --- all of those thousand details. Met a wonderful crew from Ukraine and they all truly and sincerely cared about the customers also. They sincerely cared!! The bus drivers are always exceptional. I don't know how you find these most safe; excellent drivers in all of these countries. Never once at any turn or on any road or highway was our safety or movement in doubt. Best in the travel industry, smooth as silk. Please keep up the great work finding such excellent drivers. The city tour guides as usual were beyond exemplary. Perfect there too. it is really so well done to learn details, history, tragedies, backstory, facts, myths, fun, etc etc etc. even in reception desks at the hotels-felt always safe and cared for. In the cruise ship waitstaff. Patrick (best waiter I have known in 50 years), Mohammed, the head chef Annans; all were outstanding. Every single person worked extremely tirelessly, but with a smile and twinkle in their eyes, morning lunch and dinner with great hot food, tasty suggestions, special requests-All of it. They really care about the customers; they're just always so helpful. it could not have been any better. Tour Director and Assoc. Dir. both were so spectacular - but you have heard all of their great reviews of the past. It was our pleasure to experience their great care.

Our first Gate1 experience! Gate1 was recommended by a friend and it was excellent! Everything was taken care of and we really enjoyed our time. A few things that really stand out were Erna and Johnny! They were great. Our guide in Paris, Corina, was FANTASTIC! The Breakfast buffet at Pullman Montparnasse was the best i have ever had. The selection, quantity, quality and presentation were remarkable. We have already recommended Gate1 to several people. Thank you for the great experience and we are already looking at our next adventure!

The Tour manager, Kurt, was the best- above all the others we have had on our eight Gate1 trips. From the first day he impressed us by providing a handout with our daily schedule for the entire trip to the last day when he provided a letter regarding our transportation to the airport and made sure our driver had arrived. He was efficient and an excellent manager of our time while providing excellent tour information and bringing lots of fun to the tour with his warm and outgoing personality. He went down the bus row each day and greeted each person and engaged each of us in conversation - getting to know each of us and creating great group dynamics. He knew so much about each location and at the stops, he must have left many good impressions previously as local hotel and restaurant staff were so happy to see him. We took this tour as friends we had met on a previous Gate 1 tour highly recommended because of Kurt and we were so blessed to also have him as the tour manager for this tour. He is certainly one of your very best and we want him to have all of the kudos he deserves

Just wanted to let you know what a terrific tour manager you have in Louis. He guided our group of 9 in very professional and knowledgeable way. Our trip to Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris and London went as smooth as possible due to his organizational skills. Typical of gate1travel, he was able to direct us daily to make our trip run smoothly considering all the modes of transportation required especially between Paris and London. Also want to compliment Kerry, our bus driver who got us safely from city to city. Kerry is personable and a pleasure to speak to a citizen from Bruges. We will book again because we get good value for our money to see the world. Thank you.

It was fabulous! Jorn did a fantastic job as tour manager and cruise director. He is funny, knowledgeable, and kind. The crew on the Monarch Queen was great. It is wonderful and relaxing to cruise along and not have to pack and repack for the duration of the cruise. The tulips were stunning. Luxembourg City was a wonderful surprise, it is a very charming. The amount of chocolate shops in Belgium was unbelievable and delicious! Thank you!

We went on the 14 day Holland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium & Paris tour in April of 2025, which was a most enjoyable experience. Our guide was Farid, and he was exceptional in every respect - knowledgeable, engaging, great communicator, and superbly organized. He went out of his way to navigate us through busier sites so that we were able to thoroughly enjoy them. Gate1 chose high quality hotels for our group, and the check-in and check-out process was done for us. The principal driver for the majority of our trip was skilled and maneuvered the bus safely on the highways and city streets. Periodic stops were well-timed. The museums, WWII cemetery, churches, historical buildings, countryside, and landmarks were all impressive.

Love GATE 1, it never disappoints. The boat is attractive, well maintained and very comfortable. Our room was immaculate. The food delicious and beautifully presented with plenty of choices. Above all was the staff, so friendly and attentive. Myo, our cabin attendant was wonderful as were our waiters at dinner, Darvo and Nuno. We especially enjoyed our time in the lounge with bar tenders, Nuno and Davo. They were so engaging. Being on the boat was some of the best time on this trip. Can not wait until our next Gate 1 trip.

Our trip was excellent. The weather was perfect for sightseeing, and our tour manager Evan went beyond the call of duty to keep us all safe and happy. I am looking forward to another trip with GATE1Travel.

Bart was a wonderful Cruise director and Tour director for the add on days - personable, thoughtful and always there. He posted maps and suggestions explaining how to make the best use of the limited time we had when walking off the ship in various locations. The ship was run with precision and yet provided awesome customer service. Everyone from the chef to the servers were extremely personable. Valentina delivered made to order food with great aplomb. Amr and Aida helped me when I lost an earring in the dining room, even going so far as to search the vacuum. ( I did get the earring back, Thank you!) The front desk (both George) were quick and gracious on every question.

We enjoyed ourselves and had a good time. The crew of the riverboat was very accommodating. Bart, the tour Director, was quite helpful and Nico, the activity director, was a hoot. The chef and service staff in the restaurant were excellent. The food quality was excellent, and the proportions were appropriate. My wife and I give the tour "two thumbs up".

Absolutely wonderful! Our tour guide, Kurt, was the best ever. He was so knowledgeable, and gave us his all. Loved all the treats he surprised us with. Most of all, he gave us all equal time for chats, questions. Made us strive to be in time, which we were! The trip was so easy, staying in one location, and venturing out every day to a new fabulous city. It let us learn the city enough to do fun things on our own, after arriving back to hotel. Love you, Gate 1!!

Very well done and enjoyable. We can see why people travel with Gate1 multiple times. Ship was clean and comfortable, spacious rooms, great internet. Food - the Chefs were outstanding- there was always something to enjoy, depending on your taste and moods that day. What really made the trip outstanding was the staff. We will be booking another cruise for next year!

It was awesome!! The tour manager was so amazing. Patrick. He was super knowledgeable, helpful, caring, concerned, generous and humorous. A great combination. The bus driver was so kind. My favorite tour guide was Bev in England but that's not to say they weren't all knowledgeable and good at what they do. The group was made up of sweet and friendly people. We exchanged contact information with several of them. I thought our last trip would be hard to beat but this trip was right up there.10 out of 10. Looking forward to Scotland in September.

This was my first time using Gate One and my first tour in general as well. I had such an amazing time! My guide Romaine was so informative and helpful throughout the trip with tips and information. Each city and excursion was so unique and enjoyable. And Gate One took care of everything to such an extent that the whole trip was effortless and enjoyable for me. We wanted to reach out and share how wonderful our tour guide, Arjan, was on our trip. He was very attentive and knowledgeable! He gave great suggestions in each city, many we tried and really enjoyed. We would absolutely book another trip with him, and have suggested others to book with him. He made our European trip extra wonderful.

We are so pleased with Gate 1's new Stay and Explore tours. Although we will still take advantage of classic tours and independent travel, this is just another way to enjoy a new country. Our recent Taste of Belgium and Holland was fantastic. Marc was an excellent tour guide, Darren an excellent driver, and we loved seeing all new sights in both countries. The hotel was ideally located, near many restaurants, attractions and shops. We chose to walk to Old Town nightly, although there was transport which others used. It was nice to unpack once, yet see so much of the countries. We chose to do all the optional tours, Brussels and Bruges and Amsterdam and windmills! We love how all the local tour guides are truly happy that we are visiting their country, and they want us to feel comfortable there also. We learn so much on all of our tours. We have used Gate 1 fifteen times now (!), yet each time it is a little different because of the group and especially the tour guides. Thanks to Marc for sharing so much with us and making us laugh, and thanks to Gate 1 for offering affordable experiences.

I had an amazing time on my trip! Our tour guide Kryzstof was AMAZING! He was very friendly, kind, professional and caring. He was very knowledgeable and was ready to answer all of my questions and made sure I had everything I needed. Our bus drive Darren was also very professional and drove that big bus without any sudden stops or hard breaking! Darren drove that bus in a very safe manner and slowed down several times, so we could take pictures and hear the narrative from our tour guide. I have been a huge fan Gate 1 and I'll be a client for life! I enjoy NOT worrying about the small things and love the fact that you all take care of everything, hassle free! Thank you Gate 1 and keep up the GREAT WORK!

I wanted to provide a few additional words about our trip to Amsterdam, Bruges, and Paris with Romain. This was our first Gate 1 trip and it will NOT be our last. I have only positive words about our experience. We have traveled with other tour companies and from our guide to choice of hotels, individual care, attention to detail, choice of restaurants, and driving by Ric, this was our best experience so far. No surprise that some fellow travelers had taken multiple Gate 1 trips (I think one couple was on their 14th!). And of all of my group tours, Romain has been our favorite tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, concerned for our well-being, kept us informed, and really made us feel like we were a friend. He added extra opportunities for us to get to know the cities we visited (just one example, the tour of the chocolate shop). There were so many more "extra" experiences in this tour than I've experienced with any other tour company. I think you have new lifelong customers!

We just wanted to express how much we enjoyed our trip to Amsterdam, Brussels/Brugge, and Paris. We just have a few comments to share: While it would have been better to stay in or closer or the city center in Amsterdam, the Westcord Fashion Hotel was very nice and easily accessible to the tram. Our guide, Kurt was AMAZING! From our first introduction at check in - to our final goodbye in Paris, Kurt provided a variety of extra touches that made the entire trip enjoyable. As we visited each area, Kurt provided a taste of the country - chocolates, stroopwafles, more chocolate, Madeline's, oh and more chocolate!! He provided information about each city and area we stayed in, how to use the public transportation and recommendations for shops, restaurants, and items special to each region. He even provided a map of the Paris Metro stops from the hotel to the major sites that made it easy to use the Metro and he helped us load the metro app to buy a digital day pass to make using the metro super easy. In addition, because of Kurt, we felt comfortable knowing that we bought chocolates from quality chocolatiers, we tried delicious stroopwaffles and peppernuts, tried cherry beer, and now know the difference between "Belgium" and "Brussels" waffles!!! Even when we asked him about restaurants in Paris he made an alternate suggestion that was amazing! The bottom line is that Kurt (and Dave as the driver) truly made this trip extra special and we can't stop telling people about it.

The trip was great, and our Tour guide was absolutely fantastic. This was my 5th Gate 1 tour and Farid was the most organized guide I've had thus far. He handed us the entire daily schedule at the welcome dinner and went out of his way to make everyone in the group feel welcome and appreciated. He even gave us a "crash" French lesson on our way to Paris (printed out and we practiced together). Our group really meshed well together under his leadership. We did all the extra excursions and enjoyed everyone. The local guides were excellent as well.

Our guide - Farid - was fantastic. He was well organized, kept us informed about daily/upcoming activities, provided great suggestions for us when we ventured "on our own", connected with all guests in the group, had a great repour with the drivers, local guides, hotel staff and others that we encountered. This was our first trip with Gate1. We plan on booking more because this trip was fantastic, and Farid was amazing!

Our trip across Europe was a dream come true for us. We ate our way thru gorgeous country sides. The bus driver and tour guide were so fun, and helpful, and our group was fun to be with. This was our first time with gate 1 and we weren't sure what to expect, but we were amazed with the culture, and scenery.
